Just debuted a new project: myself and a group of friends decided to form an art collective that we called “Facção Canalha”. For this colaborative project we dicided to make a record that would be released on the exibith premiere on the 18th June 2010.

Mikkel Ploug

Been listening to the two records that Danish guitarrist Mikkel Ploug recorded with the “Mikkel Ploug Group” for the Fresh Sound New Talent Label. Both disc have the same line-up: Ploug on guitars, Mark Turner on tenor saxophone, Jeppe Skovbakke on bass & Sean Carpio on drums.

Nimbus…

That´s right Nimbus; the 4th track from the 1975 Solstice album by the one and only Ralph Towner. This was the first record i bought from his huge discography around 1991/92; and it is impossible to describe the impact that is work had on me in the following years (and still has).

E.S.T

Today Allaboutjazz posted a previously unpublished interview by pianist Esbjörn Svensson made around 2006 – “Requiem”; in homage to his work and life. Esbjörn died prematurely last June in a dive accident on the coast of Stockholm; and also a extended preview of they’re final album “Leucocyte”.
