Been listening to the two records that Danish guitarrist Mikkel Ploug recorded with the “Mikkel Ploug Group” for the Fresh Sound New Talent Label. Both disc have the same line-up: Ploug on guitars, Mark Turner on tenor saxophone, Jeppe Skovbakke on bass & Sean Carpio on drums.

That´s right Nimbus; the 4th track from the 1975 Solstice album by the one and only Ralph Towner. This was the first record i bought from his huge discography around 1991/92; and it is impossible to describe the impact that is work had on me in the following years (and still has).

Well; about 7 or 8 years ago i bought my 1st guitar synthesizer a “Roland GR – 33“, with the intention to broaden my sonic palette; and to be able to pursue other musical avenues besides the obvious ones that were available to me as a guitarist.
